Gonzales Bistro

is a true passion driven restaurant that makes its home on Saint George street, just off Independence square in the quaint and richly historical town of Gonzales, Texas. Gonzales Bistro is a relaxed fine dining restaurant offering a seasonal selections of house made appetisers & main courses using only the top quality ingredients as well as luxury accoutrements like truffles, foie gras and shellfish. Our preparations are creative but integrally rooted in classic French technique and American ingenuity. Our type of service is relaxed yet attentive and friendly. Similar to a modern English style of personalised service. The restaurant features an open kitchen layout with touches of wit and whimsy and a small full bar serving craft cocktails, locally requested beer, and elevated wine by the glass. Gonzales Bistro proudly holds a Wine Spectator magazine award of excellence rating for it’s well curated wine list focusing on the best of old world styles of wines regardless of their country of origin. The restaurant was designed by its chef/owner, who also created the food menu, the wine list as well as the items offered at the bar. A single thread of personal touches abound throughout the restaurant, it’s food and service.  Come experience the sole uniqueness of the bistro.

Chef Parind Vora is a classically trained chef in the old vernacular. Born in Mumbai (Bombay), India, his family emigrated to the U.S. in 1976. Since arriving he has lived in New York City, West Virginia and South Carolina. He has appeared on many TV shows including Chopped and Best New Restaurant.
